HOW TO REACH OUR WORLD FOR JESUS

We are citizens of heaven, living on Earth for only a ​relatively short time. And in that time on Earth we ​have a rare opportunity to touch and change ​peoples’ lives with the love, the power and the ​message of Jesus. As T.L Osborn said, we can be ​used by God to literally ‘stamp their passport’ to ​make Heaven their home! This is uppermost in the ​heart of God.

This course will revisit what biblical ​‘evangelism’ is and separate it from some of the ​inherited, religious ideas many of us have known. ​We will look at what message we should bring and ​what place healing and miracles have, as well as ​what role the local church has in reaching our ​communities. This course will equip you to become ​confident, effective and victorious bringers of the ​good news.

ADVANCED STUDIES IN HOPE, FAITH AND LOVE

Paul declares at the close of 1 Corinthians 13 that ​there are three things that remain – faith, hope and ​love, and that the greatest of these is love.

It is one thing to quote that verse and quite another ​to know in our daily lives the strength of hope, the ​power of faith and the reality of forgiveness and ​genuine love.

The goal of this course is to transform your ​understanding of these three great forces, and to ​learn how we actually walk in them in our daily lives. ​These truths are something God has

anointed Paul to preach and teach since he was first ​called to the ministry in 1983. This course is a ​guaranteed life-changing experience.

Paul will see how God is leading each College and ​choices will be made according to what is going to ​be most helpful and effective for the students in that ​location. To whet your appetite here is what is being ​prepared for you:

WISDOM FOR SUCCESSFUL LIVING

The Bible teaches us not just about Jesus, salvation, ​faith, hope and love. God has set aside a whole book ​especially to teach us wisdom. The Hebrew word for ​wisdom literally means ‘the ability to live life ​successfully’. In this course we will look especially at ​the Book of Proverbs and learn the practical wisdom ​God gave to David and to Solomon – secrets that ​enabled them to live remarkably successful and ​influential lives.

KNOWING GOD: FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT

One of the most important ‘doctrines’ we can study ​is the doctrine of God. Who is He, and what do we ​understand about the Father, the Son and the Holy ​Spirit. Each of the three persons in the awesome ​Trinity (or Godhead) have a specific role, and if we ​are to know Him (as Paul so passionately stated in ​Philippians chapter Three) we need both the ​teaching of God’s Word and the revelation given to ​us by the Holy Spirit. Buckle up for this one. It is ​designed to revolutionise your spiritual life and ​bring you to a greater place of maturity and ​fruitfulness.

THE EARLY CHURCH FATHERS

The Bible was written over a little more than 50 ​years, from the late 40s to the late 90s AD. Between ​100AD and 325AD the church went through great ​persecution, and great and renowned spiritual ​fathers took the teachings of Jesus and spread the ​word through the known world. Amongst them ​were Clement, Polycarp, Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, and ​Tertullian. In this ‘age of persecution and ​martyrdom’, some of their experiences were truly ​astounding. But we will also see where the earliest ​foundations of some of our church beliefs today ​were laid. This course will be inspiring but also full of ​practical knowledge. It will help us to learn from the ​past and learn to live our lives more successfully for ​God’s Kingdom today.
